Lydia was released from the hospital on Tuesday. She was so happy to come home and was feeling much better than when she went in. She went back in for an outpatient infusion of antibodies on Friday. She will go two times a week for infusions of meds or chemo for at least the next few weeks. So far she seems to be handling the chemo quite well. She seems somewhat subdued some days, but has had no other apparent side effects. She could still have other reactions with future doses, so for her next infusion of the main chemo they will admit her for one night to make sure she handles it ok. There is a possibility that she could lose some or all of her hair, but it's a smaller chance since it's a low dose chemo. I love her curly hair, so I'm really hoping she doesn't.

Yay for being home. We're praying all continues to go well with the chemo and she kicks the PTLD to the curb fast.

ReplyDeleteAh, so glad she is doing better!!! She looks precious- and honestly- the loss of that beautiful hair is just a small price to pay for her to be healthy and happy!! So good to see Uncle Clead and Aunt Linda in the pics ;)! They are such sweet grandparents!!! Love to you ALL!!!

ReplyDeleteYEAHHHHHHHH!!!!! We have been praying and talking about Lydia so much at our house. I have been so worried for her and wondering how you guys are coping! Janene, I have wanted to call you, but wasn't sure if I should and Mike kept encouraging me to do so. I just didn't know if you'd be too wrapped up in the stress.

So glad you guys are home. It really feels like it never ends, huh. Thank goodness for primarys and all the healing hands there. lu lost ALOT of her hair after surgery/meds and its just growing back in now...it did make me sad though. please lets us know what you need help with on the house. you guys need to get settled in. xoxo
